As the more inquisitive of you may have noticed this morning when you clawed the cellophane off of your copy of Episodes from Liberty City, page 13 of the manual features an interesting tidbit for all GTA speculators out there.

Under a spoof Twilight-style movie poster for a film called The Full Mooners: Bleeding A Soul (read aloud if you don’t get it, although not too loud if you’re at work) is a poster proclaiming ‘Liberty City. It’s Over! Next Stop’. Below this is a torn piece of artwork that looks like an abstract rendition of a mountain range that overlaps the text ‘Seagull Theatre’.

Speculators, start your engines. What do we think? Well, at the bottom of the page is the text ‘Opens March Everywhere’, which seems a bit soon for a new GTA. However Rockstar’s Western epic Red Dead Redemption is slated for around then, so who knows?

One thing that is for sure is that this is another example of the impeccable Rockstar hype machine kicking into gear. Hint at a new GTA? Sly ad for the next Red Dead game? Red herring designed to get everyone talking? Whatever it is, it’s a huge part of what Rockstar is about and great fun for its massive audience to try and figure out.
