2010 in Video Games Already Revealed

One of the reasons why Famitsu magazine has been such a dominant presence in the Japan game scene for over two decades: They print horoscopes. Not just some random shyster's predictions, though -- they've got Yusho Fukuda (pictured above), an astrologer who contributes to all sorts of mags and websites in Japan, working for them. With someone as undoubtedly well-versed in the netherworld as he, there's little doubt Fukuda knows all, sees all when it comes to video games in 2010, right?

In Famitsu's end-of-year issue, Fukuda wrote a few words about the game biz next year. Let's see what his predictions look like:

- "2010 will be a much livelier year for the industry than this one," Fukuda wrote about the overall scene. "A game will come out in the first half of the year that will touch off a major boom, and another game will follow upon that in the second half. In April, a new game will attract attention for a gameplay system that involves 'changing' or 'trading' things. It'll become very popular on the Internet in particular."
