No Linux support for any functionality beyond a basic keyboard. I’m sure it’s a great board–but it’s a huge slap in the face to Linux users.
And yes, the G19 itself runs Linux.

I love the sophisticated features of this keyboard. Macro keys, backlighting, status LCD. But at the end of the day, I’m still using it 80% of the time to type text into emails, web browsers, documents, etc. For this purpose, the keyboard just really fell short for me. The main QWERTY keys are really close together, even more so that my laptop. I found myself really not enjoying how cramped my hands felt while typing, and honestly just couldn’t see that I would ever enjoy using this keyboard to type.

PROS:
The first thing I have to say about this keyboard is the feel and sound of the keys. The feel of the keys is absolutely perfect. They have just the right amount of cushion and not only that, but they are also silent as can be. Even if you’re a fast typist, they hardly make a sound.
CONS:
The price is the ONLY reason I give this keyboard 3 out of 5 stars. If it were priced closer to the $125 mark, it would be worth every penny. Keep reading to find out why.
OTHER THOUGHTS:
One of the differences in the Logitech G19 and the Logitech G15 is the G19 has a color LCD whereas the G15 generation 1 is black/white and the G15 generation 2 is orange/black. The other difference is the ability to change the color of the keys on the G19 and you can’t do that on the G15. Oh, and you can watch YouTube videos on the screen but who would want to watch a video on a screen that’s 2″ wide by 1-3/4″ tall?
I’m returning mine and purchasing an aftermarket cooling setup for my video cards. If you have some cash to blow, and you already have everything else for your PC that you could possibly want, get this keyboard. It’s a nice addition to high-end gaming rig.

This keyboard has everything a gamer could ask for.
For example:
Volume controls
Programmable keys (12 keys X three settings = 36 macro keys)
Back-lit keys
My favorite features, though, are the video display and the two USB ports. You can configure the display to show your character’s health while you’re playing and then show other useful info when you’re not (like system performance, clock, etc.).
I have two complaints about this keyboard:
First is, well, the keyboard itself. Everyone’s tastes are different, but this keyboard isn’t my favorite for typing. I prefer the light touch like the keys on most notebooks.
Secondly, the memory footprint of the keyboard’s drivers is pretty large. I’ve turned off many of the functions, but the utility stays resident and uses valuable resources.
If you primarily use your system for gaming, then this keyboard is outstanding. If you spent a lot of time typing though, you might want to pass.
