The promised Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 patch has hit Xbox Live today, finally making it available for all platforms. Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling tweeted that the patch went live for the PlayStation 3 version last week, but that "additional QA" on Microsoft's end was responsible for the delay into this week for the Xbox 360 patch.
The need for this update came on the heels of another one, which removed the javelin glitch. This one is meant to fix the infinite ammo (above) and private match glitches. It also rebalances the Model 1887 shotgun. This is the second patch in less than a month made specifically to address cheating, glitches, and unbalanced gameplay -- all of which are a recipe for a less-than-enjoyable multiplayer experience. Hopefully now Infinity Ward has worked out all of the kinks, seeing as multiplayer is a large draw of the game.
